Bharat Was Difficult Than Sultan Says Salman Khan
Salman Khan, who will be seen experimenting with age and weight in forthcoming period drama Bharat, says his role has been difficult than Sultan, in which went through physical transformation too.
Salman Khan along with Katrina Kaif, Bhushan Kumar, Ali Abbas Zafar, Atul Agnihotri was interacting with media on the sidelines of Zinda Song launch here in Mumbai.
Talking about his role and challenges he faced, Salman Khan said, “It has been more difficult than Sultan. I don’t think my friend Ali Abbas Zafar has ever been to gym. See in Sultan, we had to put on weight and lose some weight, and the whole routine was gym and shooting. With this one, the routine was just the same. Because to look younger, you need to lose those many kilos”
"And we have produced the film ourselves, so we couldn’t just shoot one portion first and then the rest. So we shot certain parts first, keeping the sets in mind, as they were the same in those portions, and we couldn’t drag the sets for long. So again, I had to lose weight and put on weight, so it was very hectic this time" he added.
Talking about playing different aged avatars (18 to 70 years old) in the film and difficulty in portraying varied avatars for the same character, Salman Khan said, “The character of Bharat, older version is close my actual age, so it wasn’t very difficult to portray. But the younger one, I had tough time doing it. I had research it, I had go back into my own life, watch older movies, and that kind of triggered my childishness. So the younger one caused me a lot of difficulties”
