Tamil actor and writer Crazy Mohan passes away at the age of 67
Renowned Tamil actor, writer and comedian Crazy Mohan at the aged 67 passed away due to a cardiac arrest in Chennai. The was declared dead at 2 PM after efforts to revive him with defibrillator failed.
Mohan Rangachari was best known for his play called Crazy Thieves in Paalavakkam, which also gave him the name Crazy Mohan it also led to his own drama troupe and Crazy Creations in 1979.
One of the popular creations has been Chocolate Krishna which has been staged over 500 times.
He also turned dialogue writer for K. Balachander’s Poikkal Kuthirai, and later wrote for Kamal Haasan's movies like Sathi Leelavathi, Kaathala Kaathala, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Indian, Avvai Shanmugi, Thenali, Panchathantiram and Vasool Raja MBBS.
Mohan was presented with Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu government for excellence in the field of art and literature.
