Anu (Rashi Khanna) is a daughter of a three time of Vishakapatnam, Sadasivam (Sayaji Shinde). She pursues her studies in abroad and comes to India after 16 years to meet his father. Due to a technical problem for her flight, she takes a cab from Hyderabad to Vishakapatnam and on her way, she meets Sundeep (Sundeep Kishan). As they continue their journey to Vishakapatnam, unexpected murder attempts take place on Anu and Sundeep keeps save him. Who are behind these attempts? Did Anu meet her father? What happens to their story in the end? has to be seen on silver screen.
Sundeep Kishan once again gets a role similar to his previous films. His character has that lover boy shade with comedy angle. Raashi Khanna is Uber Cool and is the major highlight of the film with her glamour as well as acting. Sushma Raj made her presence felt with oomph and bit of acting. Priya Banerjee, the last of three heroines gets a very little screen space and was overshadowed. Brahmanandham entertains as PK. Sapathagiri who is on a juggernaut in Telugu industry got grounded for the first time as his comedy did not work at all. Sayaji Shinde is good at his usual self while Ajay and 30 years Prudhvi were totally wasted.
Director Kumar Nagendra improved a bit from his first outing, Gundello Godari. But the same old mistake of weak narration came back to haunt him. He tried his level best to keep the audience engrossed by adding unexpected twists but is let down by a weak screenplay. He took the entire first half only for introducing the characters and stuffed the entire story in the second half. Most of the times you feel the director is lagging the story and some times you feel he is hurrying up things. Even the usually bankable Sapthagiri is also wasted.
Bheems Ceciroleo had delivered an average album which do not add any value to the film. We get to see people taking breaks during the songs. The background score by him is also pretty ordinary. M.R.Palanikumar's camera work is decent and the editing work by SR Sekkhar could have been a lot better. Production Values of Sri Keerthi Films are good.
- Brahmi comedy
- Raashi Khanna
- Slow narration
- Weak screenplay
- Talented actors are not used properly
There are some films which keeps you entertained even though they do not have any thing novel. But this Joru is a routine fare added to that the director beats the audience with stale comedy and very weak narration. Sundeep Kishan who bagged the much required success with Venkatadri Express finally could not keep up the steam with his next two films - Ra Ra Krishnayya and now Joru.
